  1. Hi,
I'm Frances, a year 7 at Kaingaroa School. Great job on your film, it was very creative and fun. I like how you made the COVID zombies' cure hand sanitiser, that was a cool idea. My favourite part was when the characters went to do whatever they want.
Did you film this after school? Was it hard to create the script for this film? Good job Oruaiti!

  3. I really enjoyed your film Oruaiti and think you've all done an excellent job, you should feel very proud of yourselves! The script moved along well and what I particularly liked was the close up shots and the different angles that you used. I thought the variety of audio you used made certain scenes more intense and added an element of drama which was spot on for your Zombie theme.

Did you use a storyboard to help you plan the shots? I'd love to see it if you did, maybe you could share it here in your blog. If you were to do another film what would you do differently?

Congratulations on a job well done koutou, I'm looking forward to seeing more film projects you made a great team!

  4. Kia ora koutou. My name is Tim Foley and I was lucky enough to be the judge again for this year's movies.

I just wanted to reach out to you all to say that it was an incredibly tight call this year on judging and I found it very very hard to have to separate one film from another to choose awards.

Your film was an excellent example of just how high the standards were this year.

I was particularly impressed with the strong and clear start to the film which drew us in as an audience, and I also loved seeing what you would all get up to if there were no teachers around!

I think that the performance of the zombies was particularly strong as well.

Hopefully I will be involved in judging again next year as I am already looking forward to seeing what you all come up with!
